Parent-Led ABA Therapy
(In-Home)

Teaching YOU to use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to support your child.

You play the most important role in your child’s growth. Our Parent-Led ABA Therapy equips you with the tools, strategies, and confidence to respond effectively to everyday challenges.
Each week, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) meets with you in your home for 1.5 to 2 hours. We’ll:
  • Observe your child’s behaviors in context
  • Teach effective ABA techniques for you to practice with your child
  • Adjust the plan based on your child’s current needs
  • Troubleshoot what’s coming up at home, school, or in the community
This service is flexible, collaborative, and focused on steady progress toward carefully chosen goals over six-month periods. With consistency and commitment, ABA can unlock powerful growth, helping your child build skills, reduce challenges, and experience a better quality of life.

Behavioral Assessments

When you know “why,” you can make a difference.

If your child’s behavior feels confusing, unpredictable, or overwhelming, this is often the first step. A behavioral assessment helps us identify what’s behind your child’s behaviors and how to support positive change.

Through several in-home visits, we:
A child participates in a behavioral assessment with an ABA therapist.
  • Observe your child in their natural environment
  • Identify patterns, triggers, and reinforcement
  • Ask targeted questions to understand concerns from all caregivers
  • Gather data to inform the next steps
Based on what we learn, we develop a personalized treatment plan that outlines clear goals and practical strategies to address your child’s needs.

Daily Living Skills Assessments

Support for independence in everyday tasks.

The first step in building daily living skills through ABA therapy is a comprehensive assessment. One of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) will evaluate your child’s current strengths and areas of need across various essential life skills.
We focus on areas such as:
  • Personal care (brushing teeth, using the bathroom, etc.)
  • Meal preparation and eating skills
  • Following directions and routines
  • Household chores (cleaning, putting away toys, etc.)
  • Interacting with others at home or in public
  • Staying safe in different environments
Based on what we observe and learn, we establish specific, measurable goals tailored to your child’s unique needs. These goals are highly individualized and focus on improving independence and reducing challenges in daily routines.

You’ll receive a practical plan that supports meaningful progress, helping your child feel more confident and capable at home and in the community.

Functional Skill Building

Helping young children build developmental foundations.

Designed for children approximately aged 2 to 5, this service supports early developmental milestones that shape future success in school and life.

We work on foundational skills, including:
A child participates in functional and behavioral skills training (ABA) during a therapy session.
  • Communication and expressive language
  • Emotional regulation
  • Fine and gross motor development
  • Following instructions
  • Managing transitions and delays
Each session is tailored to your child’s pace and interests, with parent coaching built in to reinforce learning throughout the week.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you tailor ABA strategies to fit my child’s needs?

We start by getting to know your child through an assessment. We discover their strengths, challenges, routines, and what matters most to your family. Then, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) designs a personalized plan with goals and strategies based on your child’s unique needs. As we work together, we continually adjust the plan based on your child’s progress to make sure it stays effective and meaningful.

What does “parent-led ABA” really mean, and what would that look like for our family?

Parent-led ABA means you are not just on the sidelines. You are an essential part of the therapy process. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) work directly with you, coaching and supporting you to use ABA strategies in your everyday routines. We meet with you weekly (usually 1.5 to 2 hours) to review what’s working, solve challenges, and adjust strategies as your child grows. It is flexible, practical, and designed to help you support your child in real-life situations.

What happens during a behavior evaluation, and how should we get ready for it?

A behavior evaluation helps us gain a clear understanding of your child’s needs and strengths. The process typically includes a combination of parent interviews, direct observations, and standardized assessments. To prepare, you can gather any reports or notes from school, doctors, or therapists — but no special preparation is required. Just be ready to share your observations and goals for your child.

Will you help me understand my child’s IEP or 504 Plan?

Yes. We support families in understanding their child’s IEP or 504 Plan. We can walk you through the goals, services, and accommodations, explain what the language means, and help you advocate for what your child needs. If you have concerns about how the plan is being followed or whether it fits your child’s current needs, we’re here to help you navigate that too.

My child struggles with daily routines. Do you work on those kinds of real-life skills?

Daily routines like getting ready in the morning, mealtimes, or bedtime can be tough, and we absolutely work on those. In-home ABA is especially helpful because we’re supporting your child right in the environment where these routines happen. This allows us to create practical strategies that fit your real life and help your child build independence and confidence.

What kinds of everyday skills will you focus on with my child?

It depends on your child’s age, needs, and goals, but we focus on practical, real-life skills that build independence. Common areas include brushing teeth, getting dressed, preparing simple meals, using the bathroom, picking up toys, following directions, managing transitions, and learning how to ask for help. Everything we work on is age-appropriate and personalized to your child. We’ll collaborate with you to choose the skills that matter most for your family.

How will ABA therapy actually help my autistic child?

ABA therapy can help your child build meaningful skills that support communication, independence, emotional regulation, and daily routines. With consistency and a personalized approach, children often make steady progress in areas like language, social interactions, behavior, and learning new tasks. Every child is different, but when families are involved and therapy is tailored to your child’s needs, ABA can lead to real, lasting improvements.

Do you offer guidance and support for parents, too, not just the kids?

Yes, absolutely. Supporting parents is a key part of in-home, parent-led ABA. We work directly with you to coach, guide, and problem-solve together. You’ll learn practical strategies you can use in everyday life, and we’ll be there to support you every step of the way. When parents feel confident and supported, kids benefit too.
